Mrs. Reed, 86, of Little Silver, died Aug. 5, 2009, at home. She was a retired art teacher at Henry Hudson Regional High School, Atlantic Highlands. Prior to that, she taught at Vesper George School of Art, Boston; The Guild of Creative Art, Shrewsbury; and Brookdale Community College and Thompson Park, both Lincroft section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerome Stanley Reed. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher L. and Amy Reed of League City, Texas; three brothers; John Fletcher of Manchester, Richard Fletcher of Rochester, N.Y., and James Fletcher of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was at Christ Episcopal Church, Shrewsbury. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
