Iam surprised how much controversy has been generated by the change to once-a-week trash pickup in East Brunswick.
People squawk when taxes go up, and people squawk when the Township Council does something to try to keep taxes down. I think the change to fewer trash pickups is fine. And I was impressed that when the first objections were raised, the mayor and council figured out a compromise. They’ve scheduled more pickups during times of traditionally higher use and made trash drop-off at the recycling center possible.
