Walter S. Dunn

Mr. Dunn, 94, a resident of Marlboro for 63 years, died Oct. 1, 2009, at home. He was a local farmer and the owner and operator of Heer Lenwal Realty, Marlboro. Mr. Dunn was also a former committeeman and superintendent of public works for Marlboro Township. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of V.F.W. Post No. 4374 and American Legion Post No. 54, both of Freehold. Mr. Dunn was predeceased by his wife, Helen Krystoff Dunn; a brother, Chester Dunn; and a sister, Genevieve A. McFarland. Surviving are a sister, Marion A. Dunn, Marlboro; his children, Deborah Galatro, Barbara Dmyterko and Jenna Galatro; two sisters-in-law, Mary Cyrta, Toms River, and Alice Dugan, Freehold; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was celebrated on at Our Lady of Poland Church, Southampton, N.Y., followed by interment at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery, Southampton.
