   Bordentown’s Boy Scout Troop 13 is having a fund raiser at T P’s Carwash, 64 Fort Dix St, in Wrightstown, on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The troop is raising money to attend the 100th Anniversary Boy Scout National Jamboree in Fort AP Hill in Virginia. All cars washed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. will be dried by the boy scouts. All proceeds from the car wash will go towards offsetting the cost of attending the National Jamboree. Come out and support Troop 13!

   The Bordentown Youth Wrestling Association will be holding sign up over the next three weeks. This organization is part of the Grapevine Wrestling League. Children in grades kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible to wrestle in this program. You can sign up on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Northern Community Park, Saturday Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 7, during the Bordentown Bulldogs home football games between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The registration fee is $100.    Bordentown Township Senior Citizen Club meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at the Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. All township seniors age 55 and over welcome.
   Events schedule for November:
   Next meetings are Nov. 2 and 16. Saturday, Nov. 7, veterans ceremony at 11 a.m. Nov. 16 a representative from the Burlington County Surrogates Office will be our guest.
   Nov. 17, trip to the Bally Casino in Atlantic City, bus leaves center at 9 a.m., cost $20. More details, call 298-4396.
   Nov. 19, group luncheon at noon. Nov. 21, dinner with entertainment at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 craft classes at 6 p.m.Yoga every Wednesday at 11 a.m.
   Crochet classes at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
   Every Wednesday, line dancing and yoga at 10 a.m.
   Every Thursday, tap dancing at 10:30 a.m.
   Every Friday, dance motivation exercise at 11 a.m.

   The Bordentown Regional Athletic Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the 2010 class. Nomination applications are available on the school website www.bordentown.k12.nj.us or in the high school main office. The deadline for nominations is Oct. 31.
   Team nominations are also being accepted for consideration. All nominations should include as much pertinent information as possible.

   Preparations have begun for the annual Bordentown Halloween Parade and House Decorating Contest. The parade will be held on Oct. 25, with a rain date of Nov. 1. Line up will be on Elizabeth St at 1 p.m. with the parade starting promptly at 2 p.m. Due to the popularity of the House Decorating Contest, we are planning to expand the categories to both daytime and nighttime prizes. Consolidate Fire Association has been coordinating the parade for almost 40 years now and we look forward to participates starting to register their floats and marching units.    The Bordentown Chapter 257, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its annual fried oyster and chicken salad dinner, family style, from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Scottish Rite Temple, 103 Dunns Mill Road, Bordentown. Tickets for $22 for adults, $10 for children age 12 and under. Call Louise Temple for ticket at 609-298-1859. No tickets will be sold at the door.

   A Solemn Mass for the Feast of All Souls will be said at Christ Episcopal Church on Monday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. Music for the Ordinary of the Mass will come from the Faure Requiem. A light reception will be held after the Mass.
   All are welcome to attend the Mass and reception, and to submit the names of their beloved departed to be included in the intentions of the Mass. To submit names, use the Intentions Sheet that is located near the front doors of the church, or you may email names to christchurch1835@comcast.net.
