Millstone Elks Lodge No. 2613 will hold a basketball free throw shooting contest 8:30 a.m. Nov. 21 at the Millstone Primary School on Schoolhouse Lane.
Registration for the “hoop shoot,” which is open to boys and girls ages 8-13, will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The competition will be broken into three age groups: 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. The participant’s age as of April 1 will determine the competition age.
The three boys and three girls that make the most baskets in their respective age group will advance to the district contest and compete against the winners from the other eight lodges in the south central district. The winners of the district contest will compete in the state contest and then the regional contest to be held in Wilkes Barre, Pa., and finally the national contest in Springfield, Mass.
