Mr. Skurka, 79, of Sayreville, died Oct. 19, 2009, in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed as a sheet-metal worker with Middlesex Sheet Metal, Jamesburg. His wife, Jean LaVerne Rampacek Skurka, died in 1997. He also was predeceased by three brothers, Aloysius, John and Walter Skurka. Surviving are seven children and their spouses, Gregory and Catherine Skurka, Gerard Skurka, Michael and Michelle Skurka, Martin and Bonnie Skurka, Diane and Bruce Karnowski, Jeffrey Skurka and Eileen and John Tarnacki; and 13 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville.
