Mr. Carroll, 80, of New Brunswick, died Dec. 2, 2009, at Francis E. Parker Memorial Home, New Brunswick. He resided in North Brunswick since 1939 prior to relocating to New Brunswick in 2004. He was a retired employee in the maintenance department at North Brunswick Township for 20 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Madeline Ryan Carroll, in 1991. He is survived by three sisters, Sophie Cantwell and Elizabeth Clark, both of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and Mary Butterfield of East Brunswick; four brothers, John and James Carroll, both of North Brunswick, William Carroll of New Brunswick, and Walter Carroll of Toms River; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church, North Brunswick. Burial followed at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
