2009 Women’s Professional Soccer Champions Sky Blue FC is hosting its final open tryouts on Jan. 5 and 6 at Robbinsville Field House, 153 Manor Way in Robbinsville. The deadline to register is Jan. 3.
The Sky Blue FC open tryouts are intended for college seniors or players who have completed their college eligibility, and all participants must be at least 18 years old. Anyone who feels she can play at the professional level is encouraged to attend these tryouts.
Registration for the open tryouts is $75 and must be paid online at www.skybluestore. com/jan-combine-product.
In order to be eligible to play in WPS in 2010, all prospective players must register with the league and make themselves eligible for the 2010 WPS Draft by Jan. 12. Registration information can be found at www.womensprosoccer.com/Home/players/interestedplayer. aspx.
Sky Blue FC will open its 2010 campaign against the Chicago Red Stars at Yurcak Field on Sunday, April 11. Individual ticket sales are now available for the opener. Additionally, Sky Blue FC currently has a special holiday season ticket package starting as low as $99, as well as four and 10-game flex packages. For a limited time, fans can add $25 to the purchase of any season ticket or flex package to receive a Sky Blue FC car magnet and choice of two specialty items, including a championship scarf, T-shirt or hat.
