Senator invites contributions to website

New Jerseyans are connected like never before. We can read up-to-theminute news on our computers, receive text messages from our children’s school telling us there is a snow day, and watch videos on our mobile devices.

As a member of the U.S. Senate, I recently launched a redesigned website that is meant to cater to you, my constituents. I have aimed to make it as easy as possible to access the assistance my office can provide, to contact me and to bring give you a frontrow seat to my activities in Washington and here at home.

The new website also includes the “New Jersey Spotlight” — a section that highlights a particular New Jersey town, letting the rest of the state and world know more about the Garden State’s wonderful communities.

I want this to be a collaborative effort between us, so I am asking residents of Spotlight towns for descriptions and stories about their hometowns, as well as photos.

I am happy to say that one of your neighbors has nominated Marlboro to be featured as the next Spotlight town.

I invite all Marlboro residents to visit the Spotlight page on www.menendez.senate.gov or to email [email protected]. gov and submit written or photo content that can be used in the Marlboro feature.

We already know that Marlboro has been named one of the 10 safest places to live in New Jersey and one of the top 100 places to live, but we want to hear why from all of you.

Robert Menendez

U.S. Senator
