Mrs. Newmark, 71, of Oceanport, died Jan. 23, 2010. Born in Lakewood, she had resided in Long Branch prior to relocating to Oceanport in 1962. She was a 36-year member of the Monmouth County Board of Elections. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Newmark; a son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Marnie Newmark of Metuchen; a daughter, Dr. Paula Newmark of Jupiter, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Barney and Annette Shapiro of Redondo Beach, Calif.; a grandson; a nephew; and a niece. Interment was at Congregation Brothers of Israel Cemetery, West Long Branch. Arrangements were by Woolley Funeral Home, Long Branch.
