Announces No More Joiner Fees

The Somerset Valley YMCA, in an effort to make its programs and services more available to the community during these difficult economic times, will be waiving the joiner fees for all our memberships going forward. Whether it’s by encouraging people to hop on a treadmill or giving parents a safe place for their children after school, our mission is providing the community with an environment with opportunities for physical, mental and spiritual health.
Either you or someone you know has taken swimming lessons at a YMCA, played basketball or lifted weights but we are so much more. We help foster self confidence and self esteem for the child or adult who learns the proper swimming techniques. We provide a safe place for teens to swim, play basketball or just hang out with friends at Planet Y on Friday nights during the school year. And we provide seniors with a welcoming atmosphere where they can swim, workout or just socialize.
The Somerset Valley YMCA has served the Somerset County community as a not-for-profit organization for more than 130 years.  During that time, despite economic down times, the Y has continued to offer nationally-recognized aquatic and health & wellness programs for adults and children. We take pride in the fact that no one who qualifies is turned away for inability to pay. Financial scholarships are available thanks to the generous support of those who give to our annual Strong Kids Campaign.
There will never be a better time to become a Y member! Find out how the Somerset Valley YMCA is making your community a healthier place to live. Come join your community at the YMCA. Contact the Bridgewater Family YMCA (908) 526-0688, Hillsborough Family YMCA (908) 369-0490 or Somerville Family YMCA (908) 722-4567 or visit www.ymcasomersetvalley.org.
