Auction to benefit Ocean of Love

JACKSON – The Jackson Women of Today will host its 19th annual charity gift auction at 7:30 p.m. March 19. The event will be held at the reception center at the PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Ocean of Love, a nonprofit charitable organization that is dedicated to helping Ocean County children who have cancer, and their families. Proceeds will also benefit the food pantry that is operated by the Jackson Women of Today.

“This fun and philanthropic evening will offer guests the chance to win an assortment of prizes, including dining vouchers for fabulous area restaurants, electronics and much more,” said event co-chair Maria Sabater- Guarino. “There will also be a silent auction showcasing fantastic sports memorabilia and fine art pieces.”

Guests attending this “party with a purpose” will enjoy a three-course dinner, complimentary wine and live music.

Co-chair Antoinette Adams said the mission of Ocean of Love “is to assist the children through their illness by providing financial and emotional support. The organization started by helping 12 families in October 1988 and has helped more than 350 children to date.”

Susan DeCarlo, external vice president of the Jackson Woman of Today, said, “The gift auction is our largest event and we are looking forward to another successful year.”

DeCarlo thanked local business people who support the many projects that the Jackson Women of Today sponsor.
