PLUMSTED — New Egypt High School, Evergreen Road, Plumsted, will present the musical “Little Shop of Horrors” on March 5-6 at 7 p.m. and March 7 at 2 p.m. Admission will be $8 on March 5-6 and $6 on March 7.
“Little Shop of Horrors” tells the story of Seymour, the clumsy employee of Mushnik’s Flower Shop on Skid Row, who daydreams of a better life with Audrey, his co-worker.
When the store owner, Mr. Mushnik, decides to close the shop, Seymour comes up with a way to save the business and help his love life by displaying an unusual plant in the window.
The plant, which talks to Seymour and thrives on blood, attracts attention, but at great cost to Seymour and those around him. Lead cast members include Anna Birks (Audrey), Nick Vadino (Seymour), Dave Wenskoski (Orin/dentist), Sam Brandt (Audrey 2/plant), and Daniel Malinconico (Mr. Mushnik).
