Howell K-8 School District Board of Education member Timothy P. O’Brien made the following comment at a recent meeting: “We cannot count on state aid any more, period. It is going to require a lot of patience on the part of the community over the next six months to get through this. We are going to have to make sacrifices; every single person, the parents, the employees. The last people we want to see make a sacrifice are the children.” O’Brien’s quote was incorrectly attributed to another board member in a recent Tri-Town News article.
