SPRINGFIELD — A 16-year-old North Brunswick boy was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Route 295 on Sunday, according to state police.
Phillip Pae, a passenger in the back of the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene, said state police Trooper Brian Polite.
The driver, Phillip’s brother, Andrew Pae, 18, also of North Brunswick, and front-seat passenger Paul Kim, 26, of Dresher, Pa., were sent to Capital Health Fuld Hospital with minor injuries and later released, Mr. Polite said.
The vehicle was traveling north in the right lane of the highway when it veered off the road for “unknown reasons” and struck a tree at mile marker 49.7, he said. State police from the Bordentown barracks responded as did the Burlington Township Fire Department.
No charges had been filed Tuesday when the investigation still was ongoing.
