Mrs. Smith, 36, of Howell, died April 28, 2010, at home after a courageous battle. She was born in Flemington and had lived in Glen Gardener prior to moving to Howell in 1998. Mrs. Smith was a nurse for Meridian Nursing & Rehabilitation at Shrewsbury for 11 years until becoming ill. She was a member of the New Jersey State Grange, as well as a former member of the Hampton Emergency Squad. Surviving are her husband, Bruce Smith Jr.; a son, Matthew Smith; a daughter, Meghan Smith; her parents, Anthony and Patricia Nazzaro of Glen Gardener; a sister, Christine Jones of Glen Gardener; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Esther Lomerson of Glen Gardener; two nieces; and one nephew. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & Mc- Girr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 Lyndon B.
