Paintings by local artist Norma Wokas will be on display June 1 through July 30 at the SCAN Adult Education Center in Eatontown.
“Boat House” Wokas is a member of the Guild of Creative Art, the Art Alliance and the Art Society of Monmouth County and has studied art at the Guild of Creative Art and at the Art Student League of New York.
The Highlands resident has received numerous awards and honorable mentions. Her work has been exhibited at many locations throughout the area and is in private collections throughout the country.
Wokas paints a variety of subjects, including cityscapes, beach scenes, still life and rural landscapes, and cites the influence of the romantic impressionistic style.
