Kafton says he remains committed to Jackson residents

The numbers (in the May 11 Jackson municipal election) are in and the people have spoken. I obviously am not happy with the end results, but I would just like to take the time to thank all those people who have supported me and my team, Sean Giblin and Marvin Krakower.

Thank you for coming out to vote for us. Thank you to all of you who sat and made an endless number of phone calls to garner support for us. And many thanks to those true believers who spent hours walking door to door speaking with residents, trying to convince them that our team was the right one for Jackson.

We could not have accomplished any of our goals without your steadfast support, and for that, we will always be grateful.

As most of you already know, I have been involved in this community for quite a while, working as hard as I possibly can for all residents of Jackson.

I will not quit. I will not give up the fight and I will not walk away. My office, as it always has been, will remain open to anyone who has a question or problem, and I will continue to try to help them find a reasonable solution. As I have always said, in or out of office, I have dedicated myself to helping Jackson residents, and that will not change.

Mike Kafton
