The Jackson Sons of AmVets Post 2 will host its third annual golf benefit on June 18 at the Gambler Ridge Golf Club in the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold Township. The event will be an 18-hole scramble tournament with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. The donation is $100 per golfer. Sponsorships are available for $50. A buffet dinner and awards will follow at the AmVets Post 2 on Toms River Road, Jackson. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Jackson PBA Bulletproof Vest Foundation. Members of the Jackson Memorial High School football team parents club will host its second annual golf classic on June 18 at the Hanover Golf Club, Jacobstown. The course is 20 minutes away from Jackson Memorial High School. Registration is 2:30-3 p.m., followed by play at 3 p.m. The cost is $95 per golfer, which includes entry fee, greens fee, and dinner buffet and barbecue. Classic twosomes and foursomes are also available, as well as many sponsorship opportunities. Registration is due by June 11, and all proceeds will go to support the Jackson Memorial High School football team. A community golf outing and networking reception to benefit the Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick, will be held on June 29 at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township. Registration, breakfast and driving range access will take place from 7-8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m., a networking reception at 1 p.m., and lunch and awards at 1:45 p.m. The format is a team scramble. Prizes will be awarded for first through fourth place. A hole-in-one prize will be offered by the MaloufAuto Group. The single golfer fee is $225. Registration is required by June 22.
