The Allentown Public Library Association has kicked off its annual summer fundraising event.
For a $35 donation, the association sends its flock of pink, plastic flamingos to any local address for three days. Those sending the flock can deliver a personal message or remain anonymous. For a $25 donation, homeowners can keep the flock off of their lawn. The fundraiser will end after Labor Day.
