New Egypt Agway hosted a free concert for more than 500 people on Sept. 26. Country music recording artist John Rich played to an enthusiastic crowd from the loading dock at Agway. The event was a customer appreciation thank you as well as a celebration of New Egypt Agway and parent company Bohonyi Corporation’s 10th anniversary. All beverage proceeds were donated to local charities, the Giveback Foundation and the American Legion. A donation to Philabundance, a Philadelphia food charity, was made from New Egypt Agway. New Jersey country artist Sherry Lynn opened for John Rich. Rich played songs he has written for artists such as Faith Hill and Gretchen Wilson, as well as songs he has performed with Lonestar, Big and Rich, and as a solo artist.
