Prevention First received two Jasper awards from the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association (JSPRAA) on Oct. 8. Prevention First, located in Ocean Township, won a gold award for its electronic annual report and a silver award in the category of special event planning for “Come Together,” Prevention First’s annual fundraising gala held earlier this year.
Prevention First is a nonprofit agency providing students, parents and professionals with research-based prevention education programs to help children successfully handle difficult everyday situations as well as extraordinary challenges such as violence and substance abuse.
The Jasper Awards were established in 1974 to honor excellence in the New Jersey communications industry. This year’s Jasper Awards received more than 220 entries in 100 categories. Entries were judged by a panel of experts from around the tristate area based on criteria such as creativity, concept, artwork and effectiveness in reaching the target audience.
