Student artwork on display in November

Paintings and drawings by Monmouth County Arts High and Middle School students will be on display during November at the Monmouth Beach Public Library, 18 Willow Ave.

The exhibit features work completed by gifted and talented students from the Monmouth County Arts High and Middle School program. Now in its eighth year, the program offers advanced arts classes in creative writing, dance, instrumental music, vocal music, acting and visual arts to public and private school students in Monmouth County.

Students admitted to the program through audition are released from their schools one afternoon each week to participate in various courses taught by professional artists.

Work from 24 Monmouth County students was selected for the exhibit this year. Included were local students Nicole Mago of Middletown High School North; Jessica Bodi, Erik Nelson and Lauren Valese, of Middletown High School South; Leighann Bosler and Devin Lane of Keyport High School; Jessica Lam of William R. Satz Intermediate School, Holmdel; and Jessica Zygmaniak of Matawan Regional High School.
