Do you know a child who can’t get enough of snakes, frogs, or turtles or an adult who enjoys birds or butterflies?
Instead of giving them another stuffed animal or a knickknack, adopt a species on their behalf. The symbolic adoption of one of New Jersey’s over 70 endangered and threatened wildlife species helps protect and preserve critical habitat and ensure the survival of state’s rare wildlife.
An adoption includes a full-color adoption certificate complete with information about the adopted animal, a decal and a bookmark. The adoption also includes membership in the nonprofit Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey for one year, which features subscriptions to the “Tracks” newsletter and online magazine “Explorations.” To adopt a species, visit www.conservewildlifenj.org or call 609-292-3707 before noon on Dec. 20.
