Peter Homyock

Mr. Homyock, 90, a resident of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen for 51 years, died Dec. 12, 2010, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He worked for National Lead, PerthAmboy, as a truck driver. Mr. Homyock was a life member of the Rahway Yacht Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4745 and the 8th Air Force Historical Society. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Homyock was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lou Homyock; and 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his children, Valerie A. Porter of Jackson, and Lee J. Homyock and his wife, Kathleen, of Painesville, Ohio; a sister, Frances Duda of Linden; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post No. 4745, 699 Cliffwood Ave., Keyport, NJ 07735-5158.
