Master Gardeners offer scholarships

Master Gardeners of Ocean County are offering two scholarships to eligible, graduating Ocean County high school students. The Master Gardener program is a volunteer organization under the direction of Rutgers Cooperative Extension.

Since the organization actively supports horticulture education, the scholarships are for students planning a career in horticulture, agriculture, or the related fields of nursery management, landscaping, forestry, greenhouse management, aquatic botany, plant ecology, restoration and environmental sciences.

Each scholarship will be for $1,000. Application forms may be obtained from school guidance counselors or by calling Ms. Harry at 732-349-1246. All completed applications must be in the office of the Master Gardeners, 1623 Whitesville Road, Toms River, by 4 p.m. March 31.
