Lenten Programs at Our Lady of Lourdes
Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 390 Route 523 in Whitehouse Station, Lenten theme is, "Our Lenten Journey with the Saints." Our Lady of Lourdes is offering many opportunities to discover how the saints of the Catholic Church can help us in our lives:
On Tuesdays mornings, Pastoral Associate Joline Frank will offer the series "Beyond Sunday", beginning at 10 a.m., from March 15 through April 12.
On Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., March 16 through April 20, Deacon Chuck Paolino will offer some insight about "Popes who are Saints."
On Fridays, "The Way of the Cross" in its different formats will be prayed. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., three different parish groups will host a meatless meal on March 18, April 1 and 15. At 7:30 p.m., March 25 and April 8, the Stations of the Cross will be prayed in the traditional manner. The Marian Way of the Cross will be conducted on March 18. Family Way of the Cross will be conducted on April 1. Living Way of the Cross will be portrayed on April 15. On Good Friday, April 22, the Stations will be led by the youths of the parish.
On Tuesday, April 5 at 7 p.m., Rev. James Martin, a Jesuit priest, author and associate editor of America, the national Catholic magazine, will accompany the parish on their Lenten "Journey with the Saints," where he will help us discover how the saints can help each of us find our way in the world.
