Mrs. Kipila, 87, of Howell, died March 25, 2011, at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood. She was born in Perth Amboy, and had lived in Fords and Laurence Harbor prior to settling to Howell. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Kipila worked as a seamstress at Charles Komar Industries, SouthAmboy. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1965; and a brother, Andrew Zajacek, in 2011. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Donna Kipila of Barnegat, Thomas and Sandy Kipila of Toms River, and Edmund “Kip” and Cathy Kipila of Farmingdale; a sister-in-law, Mariann Zajacek, of Woodbridge; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and Marilyn Lewis of Cliffwood Beach, who was like a daughter to Mrs. Kipila. A funeral Mass was held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, Farmingdale, followed by interment at Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly. Arrangements were by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
