Howell’s Catherine Dee, a freshman midfielder at Georgian Court University, Lakewood, was named the CentralAtlantic Collegiate Conference Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 19. It was her second honor of the season. Dee, a Howell High School graduate, tallied six points in a 2-0 week for the Lions (9-4). She scored three goals in an 18-3 victory over Dominican College, and she added two goals and an assist at Philadelphia University in a 16-7 win. Dee is the first Georgian Court player since the program joined the CACC in 2009 to win the Lacrosse Rookie of the Week award twice in a season. Dee has scored 11 goals and handed out four assists through 13 games.
