 The New Jersey Cantor’s Concert Ensemble will present “Celebrate Jerusalem With Song” at 7 p.m. June 12 at Congregation Ahavat Olam, 106 Windeler Road, Howell. Cantor David Amar of Congregation Ahavat Olam, who is a member of the ensemble, will perform in the concert along with the congregation’s children’s choir.  Main Street New Egypt and Plumsted Township will be hosting the annual New Egypt Day Festival on May 14 in downtown New Egypt at Oakford Lake Park and across the pedestrian bridge at the Presbyterian Church grounds on Front Street. Musical entertainment for the event will be provided by The Ditch Diggers, a local bluegrass band, at 11 a.m.; Matter of the Heart at noon and 2 p.m.; and Waiting for the Flood at 1 and 3 p.m. All are invited to attend the old-fashioned family friendly street fair to enjoy live music, food, rides, games, and activities.
