Jets receiver supports fundraiser

JACKSON — New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards will be a special guest with Ronald McDonald at the fourth statewide/11th annual “Walk with Ronald.” Edwards will join Ronald in leading all the walkers on May 22 at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson.

The fundraising event will benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses of Long Branch, New Brunswick and Camden.

Registration will start at 8 a.m., and the 1-mile walk will begin at 9 a.m. Participants will have the chance to meet Edwards during the walk and spend the rest of the day in the theme park.

Preregister now, bring a pledge form and money to a Ronald McDonald House, or register online at the Internet website www.firstgiving.com/rmhcnj and receive a free “Walk with Ronald” T-shirt, free parking and have private access to select rides before the park opens on May 22.

Walkers 18 and under are required to raise $50, and walkers 19 and older are required to raise $75.

One chaperone for groups of 10 teens (under 15 years of age) gains free entrance to GreatAdventure for the day of the event. Chaperones for groups of fewer than 10 teens will pay $30 and gain entrance to the theme park for the day.
