Jackson puts out call for local volunteers

JACKSON — Residents of Jackson are being asked to serve as volunteers on a number of municipal boards and committees.

The following advisory boards and committees currently exist: Senior Citizens Advisory Board, Veterans Commission, Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, Rent Leveling Board, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Also, the Economic Development Commission, Information Technology and Telecommunications Advisory Board, Citizens Budget Advisory Board, Going Green Committee, Safe Roads Advisory Committee, AnimalWelfare Committee.

And, the Private Residential Communities Advisory Board, Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board, Pathfinders, Environmental Commission, and Historical Commission.

Any resident who wants to offer his or her services to the municipality may call 732-928-1200, ext. 211, or send an email to [email protected] indicating their area of interest, background and reasons for wanting to serve.
