Mr. Battaglia, 80, of Jackson, formerly of Aberdeen, died May 27, 2011, at Care One at Jackson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Prior to retiring, Mr. Battaglia was employed by the U.S. Treasury in New York City. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris, in 2007. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Christine of Freehold; and two grandchildren. Afuneral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel. Memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
