The Rutgers Soccer Summer Camp is coming to Hazlet and East Brunswick July 18-22.
The Glenn Crooks/Mike O’Neill Soccer Schools at the Hazlet Soccer Club and East Brunswick Soccer Club will host Rutgers University coaching staff in the morning and evening, respectively. This one-week program is designed to offer instruction to youth soccer players ages 8-17 from within the community and surrounding areas. Participants will take part in training sessions that are taken directly from the Rutgers practices. All levels will be accommodated at each session.
The day session in Hazlet will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and the cost is $185. The Hazlet Soccer Club fields are located at 98 Green Acres Ave., Hazlet. Online registration is available on the website at www.glenncrooks.com
The evening camp will run 5-8 p.m. and the cost is $185. The East Brunswick Soccer Club fields are located at 575 Dunhams Corner Road, East Brunswick. Online registration is available on the website at www.glenncrooks.com
The GC/MO Soccer School is entering its 12th year at Rutgers University. Crooks and O’Neill have led the Rutgers women’s program to its highest national ranking (No. 9) and five NCAA Tournament appearances. Carli Lloyd, with 107 caps and 27 goals for the full National Team, was a standout at Rutgers from 2001 to 2005.
