Plumsted Mayor Ron Dancer has announced that Jersey Central Power & Light has notified municipalities to enforce a state law that prohibits the placing of signs (political or otherwise) on public utility poles. The state law prescribes penalties ranging from $50 to $500 for each offense. Each day of the violation may be deemed to be a separate offense, according to a press release from the mayor.
