NORTH BRUNSWICK — Games. Rides. Fireworks. Pasta fagioli.
The annual North Brunswick Carnevale Italiano will get under way July 20 and run through July 24 at the corner of Route 130 north and Apple Orchard Lane.
The carnival will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The new addition this year is the Reithoffer company, which will provide over 20 rides.
There will be a variety of food vendors present, including the famous pasta fagioli tent.
On Wednesday, July 20, at 7 p.m. there will be a singing performance; on Thursday, Jerry Spathis will perform at 8 p.m.; a karate demonstration will be held 7 p.m. Friday; and a fireworks show will take place 10 p.m. Saturday, weather-permitting.
A super 50/50 drawing will be held 9 p.m. Sunday.
“I devote my time to promoting my Italian heritage,” said Vito Puleio, president of the Italian American Social Club that runs the event. “[But] it’s not just for Italians. I want everybody to enjoy it.”
Admission and parking are free every night.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, there will pay-one-price discounts for rides.
