ROBBINSVILLE: Night Out with neighbors

National Night Out is a crime/drug prevention event held nationally to bring police and community together. The goal is to get police, fire, civic groups, businesses and citizens together for a night of fun, education and support. This year was Robbinsville’s biggest event to date, with a huge water slide, fire truck slide, slam and jam, batter up, a moon bounce and a dunk tank.
In the dunk tank this year were Detective Peter Galazka, Detective. Bryan Boccanfuso, Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo, Mayor David Fried, and School Superintendant Steve Mayer. Participants enjoyed free hotdogs, watermelon, popcorn, sno cones, cotton candy, drinks and candy prizes. There was also a petting zoo, fingerprinting, police station tours and free pony rides.
Some of the local sponsors included The Poseidon Restaurant, Robbinsville Professional Firefighters Association, Robbinsville Township Recreation Department, Robbinsville PBA Local 344, Robbinsville Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, Santino’s Restaurant, Sharbell, Mackeys Garage, Tony’s Farm Market, Bainbridge’s Long Ears Acres and The Bank.
