Late-summer flea market at Allaire

A late-summer flea market fundraiser hosted byAllaire Village Inc. will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 in the show field of Allaire State Park, 4265 Atlantic Ave., Wall Township.

Admission to the flea market is $1 per adult and free to children age 12 and under. The event will feature more than 125 vendors displaying new, used and collectable treasures of all types. The rain date is Sept. 18.

Patrons of the flea market can also visit the restored 1830s iron manufacturing community known as the Historic Village at Allaire, where authentically clad museum interpreters, artisans, and craft demonstrators such as blacksmiths and carpenters present the story of the historic buildings and the people who lived and worked there 170 years ago. The general store and bakery will also be open for shopping and refreshments.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the historic and educational programs presented at the Historic Village at Allaire by the nonprofit organization Allaire Village Inc.
