A residential document-shredding program sponsored by the Ocean County Board of Freeholders and the Ocean County Department of Solid Waste Management will be held 1-5 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Plumsted Township Recycling Center, 2 Cedar St.
The program provides residents and taxpayers with the opportunity to recycle their old documents and files safely and securely. The service representatives are uniformed, bonded and insured. The shredding unit features an automatic feeding and dumping system, eliminating human contact with documents and forms. Each vehicle is limited to six boxes or bags of documents. The program is for all paper documents and paper forms. Paper clips and staples do not have to be removed.
Unacceptable items include X-rays, CDs, floppy disks, microfilm and file folders.
