Mr. Holohan, 76, of Freehold Township, died Oct. 15, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He retired from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel after serving for more than 25 years on active duty and in the reserves. He was also employed for more than 30 years as the director of purchasing for the Girl Scouts in New York City. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joan Holohan; twin daughters, Kim Saniscalchi and her husband, John, of Howell and Tracy Ziemba and her husband, Edward, of Barnegat; a son, William P. Holohan and his wife, Karen, of Barnegat; and six grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Marlboro, followed by entombment in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
