Nov. 9 job fair paves the way for troops to be welcomed home

Discover how military experience can translate into a steady career. Come to the Hire a Veteran Job Fair on Nov. 9, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Merri- Makers Caterers at the PNC Bank Arts Center Reception Center in Holmdel. Veterans will have the opportunity to connect with employers who value their service, skills, work ethic and dedication to our country.

Bob Deissig, co-founder of the Tip of the Arrow Foundation, will conduct a onehour workshop called “Tip of the Arrow, Lessons in Landing the Job You Want” at 10:30 a.m. and at 12:30 p.m. to talk about the do’s and don’ts of job searches, résumés and the interview process.

The Tip of the Arrow Foundation is a volunteer organization staffed by experienced career counselors who target U.S. veterans of the global war on terror.

All the proceeds will benefit the G.I. Go Fund at www.gigofund.org. Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase. The event is sponsored by Greater Media New Jersey and Dr. Ron Rotem, a New Jersey dentist specializing in cosmetic dentistry procedures.
