Mr. Hopkins, 82, of Howell, died Nov. 30, 2011. AU.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Korean War. Mr. Hopkins was employed as an insurance sales manager for Prudential, Toms River district, for 23 years, retiring in 1987. He was also a former Bradley Beach police officer. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Thorpe. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Lois E. Hopkins of Farmingdale; a daughter, Linda Stauffer and her husband, Grant, of Farmingdale; a son, William T Hopkins and his wife, Myrle, of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Herbert, of Thorpe, Ariz. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was at the Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery, Tinton Falls.
