Mrs. Pelican, 86, of Jackson, died Dec. 2, 2011, atKimballMedical Center, Lakewood. Prior to retiring in 1990, she was a record presser for Peter Pan Industries, Lakewood. Before that, she was employed by RCA Corp., Woodbridge. Mrs. Pelican was predeceased by her husband, Joseph L. Pelican Sr., in 1999. Surviving are three sons, Anthony Pelican of Ormond Beach, Fla., Joseph Pelican Jr. and his companion, Susan Fisher, of Lavallette, and Lawrence Pelican and his wife, Donna, of Lewiston, Maine; two daughters, Justine Bohaczyk and her husband, Michael, of Blackwood, and Melissa Massaro and her husband, Joe, of Jackson; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Afuneral service was held at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson. A private cremation followed.
