Mr. Burdge, 31, of Jackson, died Dec. 12, 2011, at home. He was employed as a custodian by the Jackson Board of Education, working at Jackson Memorial High School for 11 years. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Donna and J. Bayard Lozier of Knoxville, Pa.; his father and stepmother, Joseph and Diana Burdge of Jackson; a sister, Danielle Burdge Finer, and her husband, Paul, of Jackson; maternal grandparents, Charles and Dolores Chillemi of Jackson; three stepbrothers, Joseph Mergner, Mike Mergner and Scott Mergner, all of Jackson; three stepsisters, Melissa K. of Manchester, Melissa Fullum of North Carolina and Andrea Lozier of Mississippi; two aunts and three uncles, Denise and Ed O’Hara of Barnegat, John and Harriett Chillemi of Staten Island, N.Y., and Charles Chillemi Jr. of Knoxville, Pa. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by a private cremation. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1935 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson.
