Thomas R. Carroll Sr.

Mr. Carroll, 77, of Middletown, died Jan. 18, 2012, in New York City. He was born in East Keansburg and lived in the Middletown area all of his life. Mr. Carroll was the superintendent for the cable department at JCP&Lfor 40 years before his retirement in 1994. He was a parishioner of St. Catherine’s Church, North Middletown. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Florence (nee Hayden) Carroll; three daughters, Deborah and her husband, Matt Edelman, of Robbinsville, Lisa and her husband, Arthur Wilton, of Belford, and Mary Ellen and her husband, Peter Rinaldi, of Jackson; four sons, Thomas Carroll Jr. of Lacey Township, John Carroll of Lacey Township, Joseph Carroll of Lacey Township, and Gregory and his wife, Krista Carroll, of Forked River; 12 grandchildren; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Church, North Middletown. Burial followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
