PRINCETON: 5 bids received for transit study

Staff report
Five proposals have been submitted to the Transit Task Force for an Alexander Road Transit Study.
The task force will meet at noon on May 4 to open and review the bids, said Borough Councilman Kevin Wilkes, who heads the Transit Task Force.
The consultants’ scope of services will include general analysis of existing transit and identify alternative options with a list of criteria that include such things as vehicle type, cost, finance, and pedestrian and vehicular conflicts.
The transit study is result of the Memorandum of Understanding; an agreement struck between Princeton University, Princeton Borough and Princeton Township last year to allow for the advancement of the university’s $300 million arts and transit project that moves the Dinky station 460 feet and will change the traffic patterns of the area.
A request for proposals will be going out soon for the traffic study, as per the MOU, said Mr. Wilkes.
