JACKSON — With the recent rain, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service has lifted the ban on campfires and chimineas in Jackson and surrounding towns.
In a press release, Jackson Mayor Michael Reina, along with the Office of Emergency Management and Jackson emergency responders, thanked residents and visitors for their cooperation in this matter.
The officials reminded everyone to continue to use caution with open recreational fires.
