The concert also includes music of Zipoli for recorder, strings, harpsichord and soprano singer, sung by Christina Suh, member of the Metropolitan Opera Chorus, and English Baroque dances by the Germantown Country Dancers in Regency costumes, to the accompaniment of virtuosic recorder and harpsichord music by the Practitioners of Musick, John Burkhalter of Princeton and Minju Lee.
The program also features Latin styles, such as the famous Afro-Cuban based mambo, the Peanut Vendor (El Manicero), Argentinian tangos of Piazzolla and Villoldo, and a 20-25 member Korean children’s choir, age 4-10, performing samba music, and singing a Korean folksong (sung in Korean), conducted by Christina Suh. They will be accompanied by a Korean folk percussion instrument.
