The Monmouth County Park System will offer the following programs in May, all at Historic Walnford in Upper Freehold:
• Spinning a Tale and Weaving Intrigue, noon to 4 p.m. May 13. Wool will flow from fleece to fabric during demonstrations that feature many “please touch” opportunities.
• The Village Blacksmith, noon to 4 p.m. May 19-20. Attendees can see a blacksmith at work shaping iron and observe the hinges, hooks, dogs and irons in the fire and out.
• Fiddler on the Porch, 1-3 p.m. May 27. Participants can enjoy the music of fiddler Pete Brady as they stroll the grounds, tour the buildings or relax on the front porch.
