HILLSBOROUGH: Dobrowolski graduates from Carnegie Mellon

David Dobrowolski of Hillsborough is graduating May 20, 2012, from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering and biomedical engineering.
He is working in conjunction with a group of other engineering students in developing a device to read diagnostic urine test strips through the use of an on-board image processing. This device will remove the human error in reading strips and allow doctors to more quickly receive accurate results and be more cost effective.
In the fall, David will return to Carnegie Mellon, in Pittsburgh, to complete his master’s degree in biomedical engineering.
He is a 2008 Hillsborough High School graduate.
